City Laundry & Drycleaners ("we", "us", "our") operates the City Laundry & Drycleaners mobile and web application (the "Service"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data.
1. Information We Collect
- Account data: name, email address, mobile number and password (stored hashed) that you provide when you register.
- Order data: service selections, garment counts, weights, pickup and delivery addresses, order status, and any notes you add.
- Billing data: invoice totals, applied coupons, delivery charges, payment method (Cash / UPI / Card) and payment status. We do not store card numbers.
- Communication data: WhatsApp mobile number for order status updates and any messages you send us.
- Device data: basic technical information such as browser, OS and error logs used to keep the Service reliable.
2. Authentication
We use email and password authentication. Your credentials are handled by our secure cloud backend and are never shared with third parties. You can reset your password at any time from the sign-in screen.
3. Orders & Customer Information
Order details, addresses and mobile numbers are used solely to schedule pickup, process your garments, deliver them back and provide customer support. Admin staff of City Laundry & Drycleaners may access this data to fulfil your order.
4. Location
The app does not track your background location. You may optionally enter or select a pickup address; that address is stored with your order so our team can reach you.
5. Notifications
With your consent, we send order status updates through in-app notifications and WhatsApp (Order Booked, Pickup Scheduled, In Process, Out for Delivery, Delivered, etc.). You can disable browser notifications from your device settings at any time.
6. Data Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored in an access-controlled database with row-level security policies. Only you and authorised City Laundry & Drycleaners staff can view your orders and personal details.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account and order history to provide the Service and comply with tax and accounting requirements. You may request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us.
8. Your Rights
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct any inaccurate information from the Profile screen.
- Request deletion of your account and associated data.
- Opt out of promotional messages while continuing to receive transactional order updates.
9. Third-Party Services
We use trusted providers for hosting, database, authentication and WhatsApp messaging (Meta WhatsApp Business API). These providers process data only on our behalf.
10. Children
The Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
